Come into the city and visit the Conservatory of Flowers. They have a wonderful new exhibit featuring plants that we eat "Edible Expeditions". This is a chance to see plants from around the world that give us coffee, vanilla, rice and spices.
While you are in the Golden Gate Park it is a great place to have a picnic or rent a boat and go around Stow Lake. One can even rent a bicycle and see the park way from the car... or if you are walking, even better, to explre this urban oasis.
There are great restaurants and cafes along 9th Avenue where visitors can pick up a picnic and enjoy our lush park.
